At the moment of the 4 millionth engine offline, we invited a group of employees and team representatives who participated and witnessed the development and growth of Engine Plant to talk about their feelings. Let"s recall those unforgettable memories and celebrate today"s achievements.

I have worked here for 16 years since I joined in 2006. It is a great honor to witness the leap-forward development of BBAC and personally experience the success of Engine Plant. At that time, the first engine we produced was M272 six-cylinder engine, with an annual output of less than 10,000 units. Now our annual output has exceeded 600,000 units. That’s really something.

In 2011, I joined in BBAC after finishing my overseas study, and became a member of Engine Plant. Over the past 11 years, I have with nessed the transformation of Engine Plant from scratch, from a duck farm to Factory of the Year. Looking back on the beginning period, those hard-working days and nights are unforgettable.

Less than two years after I joined BBAC, I have an opportunity to assemble the 4,000,000t h engine by myself. I am honored to witness the offline of this engine. Born in the 2000s, the youthful and vital Engine Plant best fits our young people. Here, we work hard and give full play to our youth.I joined BBAC a ter graduation in 2012. Over the past ten years, I have gained too much encouragement and trust. The enthusiasm and strength of colleagues and the milestones of achieving every 100 million units are unforgettable. The engine team, like a big family, upholds the quality standard with professionalism. I’m proud to be a member of the engine team.

From erecting the first steel beam of the engine project to the completion of Mercedes-Benz’s first overseas Engine Plant, and then to today"s 4 million engines, I am proud of this growth process. 2021 marks my tenth year of joining BBAC. I am honored to find my loved one here. In the future, my family and I will work together to make the Star shine more brightly!

After completing my postgraduate study in 2013, I joined in BBAC and contributed to the steady capacity increase of Engine Plant. In 2020, I changed from an engine employee to a battery employee and continued to make my contributions to the electrification of BBAC. In the process of the corporate development, I also have a chance to build my capacity and realize a career growth.

Zhang Junyi

Machining Plant launched SoP in November of 2013. Upon 8 years of development, the monthly capacity has exceeded 80,000 units from less than 10,000 units. In this process, I established a deep friendship and mutual trust with my colleagues. I wish Engine Plant a bigger success and ready to make more contributions to the development of BBAC.I worked with the BBAC’s engine production line in 2010 and joined the M254 project team at the end of 2019, responsible for the commissioning of the EMS production line under the M254 engine project. Over the last 10 years, I have participated in the steady im provement of the automation rate for the engine production line. In this regard, I feel honored and proud, because I make my dedication and efforts here.

In the milestone of the 4,000,000th engine and 10,000,000th machining unit, the scene of working overtime to achieve each target node is unforgettable for us. I am proud of our team. In the future, I will continue to work for the “green machining” project to lay the foundation for the long-term plan of “Move to Carbon Neutral” and contribute to the sustainable development of BBAC.

A3 Team, Line 2, Assembly Shop IIn the engine mixed assembly line, during the of the M260 modification, our team helped with the timing adjustment, put forward effective suggestions with extensive experience, and ranked the first in the monthly and quarterly KPI in 2021. As a shopfloor team, we guard the company"s safety production and quality standards with practical actions: In 2021, 57 CI and 11 safety risks had been proposed and solved, 244 part issues have been found and successfully performed the regular of “no accepting, no manufacture, no delivery” for NOK parts. In the future, we will uphold the spirit of “The best or nothing.” and make due contributions to the SoP of BBAC engines.
